Gujiya
Gujiya is a deep fried, crescent shaped , sweet dumpling. It is majorly associated with Indian festival of Holi. It's sweetness and creaminess not only dissolves in mouth but is also packed with nutrition in the form of various dry fruits.
Let's have a look at the ingredients we need to make this sweet.
Ingredients:
1) Maida/ Wheat flour - 250 gms
2) Suji/ Semolina -2 spoons
3) Ghee/ Purified oil or Clarified butter - 3 spoons
( All three ingredients mentioned above should make one cup in total)
4) Cheeni/Sugar - 75 gms or 1/2 cup
5) Khoya/ Reuced dry milk or whole dry milk - 125 gms
6) Nariyal/ desiccated cocunut - 100 gms
7) kishmish /Raisins - 3 spoons
Kharbuje k beej /Musk melon seeds - 2 spoons
9) Badaam/Almonds - 2 spoons
10) Kaju/Cashews - 2 spoons
11) Choti elaichi ka powder/Green cardamom powder - 1/2 spoon
